The main difference between Dysport® and BOTOX® Cosmetic is protein. Dysport® is created from a smaller protein, allowing it to spread out from the injection site an average of 3 centimeters. BOTOX® Cosmetic has a larger protein and spreads an average of 1 centimeter from the site.
Results That Matter
The extremity and type of wrinkles will determine the number of injections you receive. The results from your treatment will be visible within 10 to 14 days of treatment, lasting around 3 to 4 months. Due to the larger spread of Dysport®, the end result is a softer, less frozen appearance than BOTOX® Cosmetic. What to Expect
Your treatment generally takes only a few minutes to perform and generally does not require any numbing due to the extremely small gauge needles that are used to perform the injections.
